Mr. Usof Ali Dewan Mr. Mehedi Masud ... for the petitioner Mr. Kanak Kiran Bandyopadhyay ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of an electricity connection for the submersible pump of the petitioner.

It is submitted by the petitioner that an inspection has been carried out in the presence of the petitioner and the petitioner is well-aware that the subject electricity connection cannot be provided to the petitioner immediately.

It is also submitted on behalf of the WBSEDCL, that it is necessary to carry out certain installations including 12 electric poles in order to provide any connection to the petitioner. Moreover, in view of the present weather condition, any connection to the premises of the petitioner would take at least 180 days.

In view of the above, WPA 11860 of 2026 stands dismissed.

The WBSEDCL is directed to act in accordance with law and take necessary steps as expeditiously as possible.
