On the prayer of the petitioner, leave is granted to the petitioner to file affidavit-of-service during the course of the date.

The prayer of the petitioner is innocuous. The petitioner obtained a passport.

However, subsequently, the petitioner applied for correction of the date of birth of the petitioner as depicted in the passport.

All necessary materials in that regard have already been furnished by the petitioner and annexed to the writ petition. However, the correction has not yet been effected by the respondent-authorities. 4.

W.P.A. No. 11546 of 2023 is, accordingly, disposed of by directing the respondent no. 2 to process the application for correction of the passport of the petitioner immediately and to carry

out the necessary corrections, subject to the satisfaction of the said authority, at the earliest, positively within three weeks from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no. 2, that is, the Regional Passport Officer.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
