Petitioners are aggrieved that their representation dated 19.04.2024 with the Officer-inCharge, Jamalpur Police Station was not acted upon. The grievance of the petitioners is relating to illegal sand mining and threats at the behest of the private respondent nos.7 to 10. According to the petitioners, the private respondents are dangerous in character and, as such, they apprehend insecurity in respect of life and liberty.

In view of the fact that more than 11 months have passed since the representation was made with the Officer-in-Charge, Jamalpur Police Station with copies to the Superintendent of Police, Burdwan East, Badamtalla, I direct that if the situation still persist,

petitioners would inform the Officer-in-Charge of the said police station who would consider the representation and address regarding the insecurity of the petitioners if any.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 12360 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
