This is a frivolous writ petition and should never have been filed. It is obvious that there is some extraneous and oblique motive in filing of this petition.

The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-furnishing of an Id number which is the alleged reason for the petitioner not having been able to pay a bill of approximately Rs.63,424/-. 3.

On behalf of the WBSEDCL, it is submitted that there is no connection in the name of the petitioner and the entire attempt of the petitioner is to get some kind of imprimatur from the Court to legalize some illegality or create a right. 4.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, there is no enforceable legal right which the petitioner has been able to demonstrate warranting any order being passed in his favour. The complaint of the petitioner that he has no Id

number is without any basis and bereft of particulars. On the contrary, there is no electricity connection which the petitioner has in its favour and the plea for an ID number is unsubstantiated and without any basis.

In view of the above, WPA 12624 of 2025 stands dismissed. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take necessary steps in accordance with law.
