Petitioner has approached this court being aggrieved by the inaction of the Officer-in-charge, North Port Police Station which was dated 22.03.2024. The main grievance of the petitioner is that she claims to be residing with her family for the last 50 years at the premises referred to in the writ petition. However, the private respondents are trying to throw her and her family away without due process of law.

As none appears on behalf of the State Mrs.

Rupsha Chakraborty along with Mr. Subhajit Choudhury, learned advocates who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State are directed to represent the State. Their appearance may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

In view of the nature of dispute referred to in the writ petition, the police authorities would ensure that without due process of law if the petitioners are in possession they should not be thrown away.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 12390 of 2024 is disposed of.

A copy of the writ petition be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the State. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
