Dr. Patra, learned advocate of the School Service Commission, on instructions, submits that the petitioner obtained 39 marks in the written test and 32 marks on the basis of academic qualification. She has scored 71 marks in the selection process. The last successful candidate in the male and female category called for interview secured 84 marks and in the female category last candidate called for interview scored 83 marks. Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that his client ought to have been given 7 more marks. Even assuming for the sake of argument and the same is accepted, the petitioner's total marks would still come to 77 which is far below the last highest marks obtained by the last candidate in both the categories.

In that view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
