Wasim Akram Ms. Samir MIshra ...for the petitioners Mr. Somnath Adkhikary Ms. Sagnika Banerjee ...for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case. It was alleged that there was a scuffle between two groups of men during election.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He submits that the FIR was registered on 16.07.2023. The petitioners are now coming before this Court praying for anticipatory bail. There are statements of witnesses which implicate the petitioners. There are injury reports present in the case diary which show that severe injuries were inflicted upon two persons. Among other things, it is alleged that during election, the petitioners and other assailants came in 15 to 20 motorbikes, criminally trespassed into the premises of the victims while armed with bombs, pistols, iron rods and other weapons. They started pelting stones on voters and thereafter brutally

assaulted the victims with iron rods, henso and sabol. One of the victims was also attempted to be strangulated. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
