Mr. Bidyut Kumar Halder Mr. Indranil Halder Ms. Neha Singh ... for the petitioner Mr. Debanjan Mukherjee ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against refusal of WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

It is submitted by the petitioner that by a communication dated 5th May, 2026, they had sought for necessary documentation from the petitioner in order to provide any such connection.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 11865 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to act in accordance with law and provide all necessary documentation in terms of the letter dated 5th May, 2026 issued by the WBSEDCL. Only if there is compliance of all such prescribed formalities, would the WBSEDCL be obliged to act in accordance with law and expeditiously take steps for providing such electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.
