Ms. Sanghamitra Nandy ... for the State The writ petition has been presented, interalia, praying for allowing the petitioner to participate in the selection process in connection with First State Level Selection Test, 2016 (SLST) for appointment in the post of assistant teacher in upper primary section in a government aided recognised high school on condoning age bar.
An affidavit has been affirmed by the Assistant Secretary of West Bengal Central School Service Commission on 2nd May, 2023 disclosing that pursuant to the order dated 11th December, 2020 passed in the writ petition being WPA 9597 of 2019 by the Hon'ble Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya, cancelling the previous selection process steps were taken by the Commission from the stage of on-line verification of the candidates. It has also been averred in the affidavit-in-opposition that the petitioner was allowed to participate in such on-line verification process and he was awarded 65.6000 marks whereas the last empanelled candidate under
OBC-A category was awarded 75.7333 marks.
In view of permitting the petitioner to participate in on-line verification process which was initiated pursuant to the order dated 11th December, 2020 passed by a coordinate Bench the grievance of the petitioner appears to have been redressed.
Accordingly, no order need be passed on this writ petition.
The writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
