ADSL1 19-05-2025 AKG Ct. 15 By filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks condonation of shortage in attendance for pursuing the LL.B. (Hons.) course for the academic session 2024-2025 under St. Xavier's University.

Admittedly, the petitioner has secured only 49% attendance, even after attending specially arranged classes conducted by the university.

As per the University Regulations, a minimum of 75% attendance is required to be eligible to sit for the examination. This requirement may be relaxed up to 10% on medical grounds or in the case of students representing the university in extracurricular activities. Even if the petitioner is granted the maximum permissible relaxation on medical grounds, his attendance remains well below the minimum threshold of 65%.

In view of the above, this writ petition is not entertained and is accordingly dismissed.

Accordingly, WPA 11388 of 2025 is dismissed.
