1. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that son of the petitioner was found dead on 8th March, 2026. It is also submitted that son of the petitioner was murdered. Thorough investigation is required to reveal particulars of the accused person.

3. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has submitted a communication dated 15th June, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Belda Police Station, Paschim Medinipur, being respondent no. 4, and the same is taken on record. Copy of the communication is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

4. It is disclosed in the communication dated 15th June, 2026, that a criminal prosecution was initiated being Belda Police Station Case No. 185 of

2026, dated 01.06.2026, under Sections 103(1), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, 2023. It is also stated in the communication that investigation is going on.

5. Investigating agency is directed to expedite investigation and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

6. At this stage, no further order need be passed on this writ petition.

7. Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon usual undertakings.
