1. The petitioner alleges that a burning ghaat is being constructed in a residential area. Representation was given and the petitioner would submit that a meeting was held on 18th April, 2023 in the office of the gram panchayat. But however, according to the petitioner, the meeting was an eye-wash and no action has been taken. There is a representation given by the petitioner to the authorities on 4th May, 2023 followed by a lawyer's notice dated 1st June, 2023.

2. If the meeting has been conducted, then the authority ought to have passed an order. Therefore, we direct the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Alipurduar-I to pass an order and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from date of receipt of the server copy this order.

3. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

4. No costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
