1. Pursuant to the directions issued in W.P.A.(P) 610 of 2023 dated 4th January, 2024, the representation given by the petitioner was considered and the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Animal Resources Development Department had passed an order dated 15th February, 2024 constituting a special team to inquire into the allegations made by the petitioner in the representation.

2. In terms of the directions contained in the order, the petitioner was given a personal hearing on 23rd February, 2024. The grievance of the petitioner appears to be that the committee has not concluded the proceedings and no order has been passed.

3. The learned advocate appearing for the respondents/State, on instruction submitted that the committee has concluded the hearing and the report is

under preparation and within a couple of weeks, the report will be made ready and the copy of the report will be furnished to the petitioner.

4. In the light of the stand taken by the respondents/State, there will be a direction to the appropriate authority to conclude the proceedings and draw the report and submit it to the appropriate authority as well as furnish a copy of the report to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

6. No costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
