Mr. Subha Dey ... for the petitioner Mr. Srijan Nayak ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the WBSEDCL to provide an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

On behalf of the WBSEDCL, it is submitted that there are ongoing pending civil disputes by and between the petitioner and private third parties.

This is a case where the petitioner has deliberately chosen not to implead the private third parties. It is also submitted on behalf of WBSEDCL that the electricity line is to be drawn from the premises belonging to the third party occupants and the same cannot be done without their co-operation.

In view of the nature of disputes raised by the petitioner, WPA 11877 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the concerned District Magistrate having jurisdiction in respect of the subject premises to adjudicate upon the

grievance of the petitioner after giving notice to all the private parties including the WBSEDCL.

The above exercise is to be carried out within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.
