1. Petitioner is in custody for 49 days. He submits co-accused have been enlarged on bail. He prays for bail.

2. Learned lawyer for the State contends co-accused are female members of the group who had assaulted the victim resulting in his death. Their bail prayer has been assailed before this court in CRM(DB) 918 of 2024.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is named by eye-witnesses as a member of the group who had assaulted the victim. Victim suffered multiple injuries and died. Coaccused who are on interim bail are female folk. Petitioner cannot claim parity with them.

4. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
