The Inspector of Police, Law Section, Special Branch, Kolkata Police has filed a report in the form of instruction, addressed to the learned State Advocate dated 16.05.2023, which is taken on record.

It is submitted that the petitioner no. 1 has been given a Personal Security Officer (Constable Rakim Sk.) since 24.04.2023 from Jangipur Police District.

The PSO is required to accompany the petitioner wherever he goes, within the State. If, for some reason, the designated PSO is unable to accompany the petitioner to Kolkata

or any other district, a separate PSO shall be made available to him upon intimation by the petitioner in this regard.

The threat perception expressed by the petitioner has already been assessed by the police.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
