The police are inactive on the complaint. Learned advocate for the State submits that immediately on receipt of the complaint from the petitioners, an enquiry was conducted. Surprise visits were made. Guest registers of the hotel were checked. Closed-circuit television were also checked. The police did not find any untoward incident happening. In such circumstances, the police acting as noted above, further interference by a writ court is not called for. WPA 12234 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of the requisite formalities.
