The petitioner seeks impounding of the passport of the private respondent.

It appears that the petitioner and the private respondent were wife and husband. The marriage in question has been nullified by the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

The order of impounding has also been set aside by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. The lookout circular which was issued against the private respondent has also been set aside by the Patna High Court vide order dated 18th March, 2024 passed in Civil Writ Jurisdiction Case no. 3360 of 2024.

The petitioner submits that an application for review has been filed before the Hon'ble Supreme Court which is pending consideration.

Prayer has been made to adjourn the matter sine die.

The prayer of the petitioner at this stage cannot be accepted. There is no reason to continue with the writ petition as the marriage in question and the lookout circular issued against the private respondent has been set aside.

The Hon'ble Supreme Court vide judgment dated 20th February, 2025 directed that the passport of the private respondent be released within a week. 8.

Accordingly, there is no scope to revoke the short term validity passport issued in favour of the private respondent as prayed for by the petitioner. 9.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant case.

10. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

11. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
