The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the WBSEDCL to provide a common electricity connection to the submersible pump set of the petitioner.

A report filed by the WBSEDCL be kept with the records. It appears from the report that any electricity connection to the subject premises is not feasible. This submission is disputed by the petitioner who suggests that an alternative route has not been explored by the WBSEDCL.

In view of the submission made on behalf of both the parties, WPA 10438 of 2019 stands disposed of by directing the concerned District Magistrate having jurisdiction to explore whether any electricity connection can be provided to the petitioner through any alternative route.

In carrying out such exercise the District Magistrate is directed to give a notice of hearing both to the petitioner and WBSEDCL.

It is made clear that there has been no expression on the merits of the case and all issues are left open to the concerned District Magistrate to decide the above exercise is to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

In view of the above all connected interlocutory applications also stand disposed of.
