The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject "Biological Sciences (Hons/PG)" at Ajodhyanagar Junior High School, District-Paschim Medinipur, he applied for general transfer through "Utsashree Portal" on the ground that the distance between his residence and the school is more than 153 Kms.

The West Bengal Central School Service Commission rejected the said application on the ground that the petitioner is the single teacher of the subject in the said school. Mr. Ujjal Ray, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable.

Be that as it may, the "Utsashree Portal" is under suspension, therefore, the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 10869 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
