The petitioner submits that he has complied with all requisite formalities and has deposited the prescribed fees for obtaining the electricity connection. However, no steps have been taken by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) to provide the said connection.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of WBSEDCL submits that, by a letter dated May 19, 2025, the petitioner was requested to submit certain documents. It is submitted that the petitioner has not yet furnished the required documents, and as a result, the electricity connection has not been effected.

A copy of the said letter has been handed over to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

In light of the foregoing, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty granted to the petitioner to submit the necessary documents, as specified in the letter dated May 19, 2025, to the Assistant Engineer and the Station Manager, Saktigarh Customer Care Centre, within a period of two weeks from the date of this order. Upon such submission of documents and compliance with any additional formalities, if required, WBSEDCL shall ensure the electricity connection is provided to the petitioner's shop premises within one month thereafter.

Accordingly, WPA 11480 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
