1. Affidavit-of-service filed be kept with the record.

2. The revisional application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of Reference Case No. 16 of 2008, pending before the learned Central Government Industrial Tribunal, Kolkata, where admittedly, there is no regular presiding officer since March 2025.

3. On hearing the learned counsels for the parties, it appears that though there is no regular presiding officer at present, the reference case for whatever reasons is pending since 2008.

4. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent/Union of India that the learned presiding officer of CGIT, Asansol is in-charge of CGIT, Kolkata and attends the tribunal at Kolkata but not on a regular basis.

5. Accordingly, this Court considering the fact that the reference is of the year 2008 is pending for

the last 18 years the learned presiding officer of CGIT, Kolkata in-charge is requested to make all endeavour to dispose of the reference case as expeditiously as possible.

6. The writ application stands disposed of.

7. Let a copy of this order be sent to the Registrar, CGIT, Kolkata with a direction to place the same before the CGIT, Kolkata in-charge at the earliest.

8. Connected application, if any, stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
