The petitioner is aggrieved by the non-consideration of the petitioner's representation dated April 7, 2025 whereby the petitioner has registered his objection against a resolution adopted by the State Transport Authority, West Bengal in its Board Meeting held on December 12, 2024 vide Agenda No. 67 being Serial No. 169, 184, 186, 187, 192, 194, 195, 201, 202, 203, 205, 206 thereby allowing the prayer for grant of Permanent State Carriage permit in the alignment of route from 'Hatisala to Kolkata Station' (Route Code 2579). The petitioner submits that despite such representation having been made to the State Transport Authority, West Bengal on April 7, 2025, no decision has been taken by the State authority thereon as yet. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material on

record, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending. The State Transport Authority, West Bengal is, therefore, directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated April 7, 2025 (annexure P-5 to the writ petition at pages 41 to 44 thereof) by passing a reasoned order within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order, strictly in accordance with law, upon affording an opportunity of hearing to all concerned, including the writ petitioner.

It is needless to mention that the reasoned order passed by the authority within the aforesaid time, shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from passing thereof.

WPA 11472 of 2025 is disposed of with the above observations.
