The petitioner claims to have participated in the S.I. Food Recruitment Examination- 2014 for appointment as Sub-Inspector in the Subordinate Food & Supplies Service (Grade-III) conducted by the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission.

The petitioner made an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 in February 2024 seeking certain information with regard to the said recruitment process. Being dissatisfied with the information provided, the instant writ petition has been filed.

It appears from the averments made in the writ petition that after the Enforcement Directorate raided several offices of the Food Department and news was published in the newspaper that the authority adopted pick and choose policy to appoint their favoured candidates, the petitioner made the application under the 2005 Act.

The petitioner has not averred in the writ petition as to when the result of such recruitment process was declared, the date of appointment of any candidate in respect of the said recruitment process, and no further reason for filing the application under the 2005 Act nearly ten years

after the recruitment process took place.

The stand of the petitioner in filing the application does not appear to be bona fide. The writ petition is devoid of the relevant details.

In view thereof, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
