1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite application for new electricity connection being made by the petitioner for operating his submersible pump, such connection has not yet been given.

3. Learned counsel for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) takes a fair stand and submits that due to the ongoing 'Boro' cultivation with the adjoining areas, such connection could not be given.

4. A period of three weeks is sought by learned counsel for the WBSEDCL to effect such connection in favour of the petitioner.

5. In view of the fair stand taken by the WBSEDCL, WPA No. 12578 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to give a new electricity connection to the petitioner, subject to compliance of all formalities by the petitioner, within three weeks from date and/or from compliance of formalities, which ever is later.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
