Mr. Panchanan Hajra, ... for the petitioner Mr. Rajarshi Basu, Ms. Ananya Neogi, ... for the State After hearing learned counsel, this Court is of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction on the concerned authority to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 21st March, 2022 within a period of six weeks from the date on which the petitioners complete the necessary formalities for ex-gratia payment due to the petitioners on the death of their family member. The concerned authority shall hear all the necessary parties including the petitioner and shall dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 21st March, 2022 by passing a reasoned order within the time frame as indicated above. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioners within a week from the date of passing such order. If the petitioners are found to be
entitled to the claim, the concerned authority shall take expeditious steps to release the same in favour of the petitioners.
The instructions of the respondents are kept on record.
WPA 10885 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.
