Shayak Chakraborty, Zhaib Rauf, Ajitesh Pandey and Aditya Ratan Tiwary, Advocates (Present in Court) ..for the Petitioner Mr. Amitesh Banerjee, Advocate (Through VC) ..for the State (Through Video Conference) **** The issue sought to be raised in the present petition filed in public interest is regarding strike of the nursing staff in the SSKM Hospital, as a result of which, the health care service was being affected and the covid protocols were being violated.

Mr. Amitesh Banerjee, learned senior standing counsel for the Government submitted that the issues with the nursing staff of the hospital have been sorted out and they have resumed their duties. Presently some contractual employees, who have been engaged through a contractor are sitting on 'dharna' during their off-duty period but otherwise they are regularly discharging their duties assigned to them by the contractor. The same is not disturbing the hospital functioning in any way.

In view of the aforesaid stand taken by the learned senior standing counsel for the respondents, nothing survives in the present petition.

The same is, accordingly, dismissed.
