Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the brother of the victim girl who was kidnapped by the private respondents. Although an FIR was lodged, till date the girl could not be recovered.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits as follows. When the victim lady aged about 25 years was contacted, she stated over a video call that she had got married to a person belonging to another faith and is residing with him happily at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Investigation into the allegations is going on.

Let the Investigating Officer arrange for having a statement of the purported victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code, preferably within fortnight from this date. The investigation shall be carried out expeditiously and in accordance with law.

No further order need be passed.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
