It appears form the report and has been submitted on behalf of both the parties on the earlier occasion that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue further shall only be a futile exercise.

The proceeding being GR (NS) Case No.848 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, 2nd Court, Calcutta presently redesignated as learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Calcutta be quashed.

The petitioners be set at liberty at once and be discharged from their bail bonds.

The revisional application being CRR 1843 of 2024 is disposed of.

CRAN 2 of 2024 is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
