The petitioner alleges that no steps have been taken by the Municipality to comply the direction passed by the Court on June 21, 2022 in WPA 2498 of 2020 filed by the petitioner. The petitioner alleges illegal and unauthorized construction at the behest of the private respondent.

Learned advocate representing the private respondent submits that a hearing was conducted by the Municipality on June 5, 2023 where the parties appeared but the petitioner refused to sign the attendance sheet. The notice of hearing issued by the Chairman, Baruipur Municipality on June 1, 2023 has

been produced in Court. The same is retained with the records.

The Baruipur Municipality is directed to conclude the hearing and pass reasoned order strictly in accordance with the direction passed by this Court on June 21, 2022 in WPA 2498 of 2020.

The proceeding shall be concluded by the Municipality at the earliest but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the order dated June 21, 2022 with a copy of the representation dated July 11, 2022 to the Municipality at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
