Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that date has been fixed for recording prosecution evidence.

We have considered materials on record. Statements of eyewitnesses show petitioner was last seen with the deceased. Date for recording prosecution evidence has been fixed. In view of the aforesaid facts, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
