1. The instant writ petition was filed in the year 2012 seeking a restraint order against the respondents not to issue the appointment letter in favour of the private respondent.

2. A considerable period of time has elapsed from the date filing the writ petition. Leave was granted to the petitioner to file supplementary affidavit in August, 2012. The same has not been filed till date.

3. It appears that the cause of action for filing the instant writ petition does not survive at such a delayed point of time.

4. In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands dismissed as being 'infructuous'.

5. All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
