This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner being aggrieved inaction on the part of the respondent electricity authority concerned in considering the application of the petitioner for providing new electricity connection which has been filed by the petitioner sometime in the year 2019. Learned advocate appearing for the respondent electricity authority concerned submits that due to objection by the private respondent the application of the petitioner could not be considered.

Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and submission of the parties this writ petition being WPA 11774 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent electricity authority concerned to take a final decision for providing electricity connection to the petitioner in accordance

with law and after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the private respondents or their authorised representatives within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. Learned advocate appearing for the respondent electricity authority concerned shall furnish a copy of the objection of the private respondent to the petitioner and the petitioner who will free to take any exception to the same.
