16.05.2023 sdas rejected C.R.M. (NDPS) No. 989 of 2023 In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Chinsurah Police Station Case No. 391 of 2019 dated 10.11.2019 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act.

And In Re : Santu Biswas ..... petitioner Mr. Arunava Ganguly ... for the petitioner Mr. Saibal Bapuli, learned APP Mr. Arijit Ganguly Mr. Arani Bhattacharya ... for the State Heard the learned Counsels for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the co-accused was rejected earlier in July, 2022. Petitioner stands on the same footing with the said co-accused. Under such circumstances we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
