The present revisional application has been preferred challenging the charge-sheet submitted in connection with Tala Police Station Case No.116 dated 08.10.2016 under Sections 3 and 4 Dowry Prohibition Act.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherjee, learned Public Prosecutor represents the State. Having regard to the nature of the contentions advanced in the charge-sheet and the evidence collected and relied upon by the prosecution, I am of the opinion that no interference is called for at this stage.

Records of the revisional application reflect that in spite of the same preferred in the year 2021 and the matter having appeared on 16th November, 2021 when none pursued the revisional application, the pendency of the revisional application is unwarranted.

Petitioner would be at liberty to canvass the points at the stage of consideration of charge or in course of the trial. Accordingly, CRR 1557 of 2021 is dismissed.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
