Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, considering the tenure of the detention and the fact that the police submitted charge-sheet and the fact that there is no eye witness, bail should be granted.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the death was due to strangulation, homicidal in nature and occurring at the matrimonial home of the deceased. Petitioner is the husband of the deceased.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the complicity of the petitioner, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected and the application being CRM 5146 of 2021 is disposed of. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Ananda Kumar Mukherjee, J.)
