Ms. Shabana Hasin ...... for the petitioner Mr. Tanmay Kr. Ghosh Ms. Pritha Paul ...... for the State Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He submits that there is no development in the matter since the last rejection of bail by this court.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing the torture upon the victim lady by the petitioner which compelled her to commit suicide within one year of marriage. She was five months pregnant at the time of her death. In view of the aforesaid facts, gravity of the offence and as his prayer for bail was rejected earlier, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
