It is submitted that all requisite formalities in this regard have been duly complied with by the petitioner.

The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that the electricity connection could not be effected due to the absence of a way-leave permission from Kakdwip Power Loom Cooperative Society Limited. In view of the above, WBSEDCL is directed to make an appropriate application before the concerned District Magistrate under the provisions of the Works of Licensees Rules, 2006, within a period of two weeks from the date of this order.

The concerned District Magistrate shall adjudicate the issue within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such application, upon affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, a representative of Kakdwip

Power Loom Cooperative Society Limited, and all other relevant stakeholders.

Accordingly, WPA 12704 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
