Mondal .............for the State It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the petitioner met the Principal of the relevant College on August 7, 2023 for release of the terminal benefits of the deceased employee and signed the necessary documents.

Learned advocate appearing for the College submits that the College has forwarded all the necessary documents to the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal, by a letter dated August 11, 2023.

In view of the above, I find no justification in keeping this writ petition pending. Accordingly,

this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal to consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that if it is found that the petitioner is entitled to any benefit, the same shall be released in favour of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably, within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.
