Affidavit-of-service is taken on record. Despite service, none appears on behalf of the respondents. The petitioner was engaged as Darwan-cum-Night Guard on casual daily rated basis in the office of the Block Development Officer, Purcha Development Block, DistrictPurulia. The writ petition cannot be entertained due to lack of jurisdiction as the petitioner seeks certain benefits as an employee in the Block Office. The appropriate remedy of the petitioner would be before the learned State Administrative Tribunal.

The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the appropriate forum.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
