The petitioner seeks high-tension electricity connection.

Learned Advocate appearing for the distribution company submits that the distribution company attempted to provide high-tension electricity connection to the petitioner. The distribution company was, however, obstructed by the villagers.

Since the distribution company is of the view that the petitioner is entitled to high-tension electric supply, it will proceed to provide the same to the petitioner in accordance with law. In doing so, in the event the distribution company is obstructed, the distribution company is at liberty to approach the local police authorities. The police authorities are directed to provide adequate police protection to the distribution company and to the petitioner so that the petitioner is provided with high-tension electric supply by the distribution company.

Needless to say that the petitioner will pay all costs, charges and expenses for the high-tension electric supply

as well as for the police protection.

It is expected that the distribution company provides the electric supply within a fortnight from the date the petitioner complying with all formalities and paying all costs, charges and expenses for the same. WPA 12369 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly without any order as to costs.
