Mr. Sohom Saha ......for the Petitioner Mr. Subir Ganguly, Mr. Sandeep Prasad Shaw ...for the State The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of Complaint Case CS/68736/2018 under Sections 33C (1) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 presently pending before the Court of learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 16th Court at Calcutta. From the ordersheet annexed to this application, it appears that the hearing of case could not be proceeded with due to absence of the accused person on several occasions. The cognizance was taken on July 31, 2018.

In view of the long pendency of the case, I direct the learned Magistrate in the Court below to dispose of the case as early as possible, preferably within one year from the date without granting any unnecessary adjournment either of the parties. Accordingly, CRR 2266 of 2026 stands disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
