In compliance with the direction dated July 04, 2025, the Assistant Registrar (Acting) of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University, the respondent no. 3 herein, files the report, which is taken on record.

The petitioners, being the merit-listed candidates took admission at Birbhum National Institute of Higher Education, a college affiliated to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University, the respondent no. 4 herein to pursue B. Ed. Course for the academic session 2024-2026.

The credentials of the petitioners could not be uploaded in the designated portal of the said University for registration within the stipulated date, in consequence thereof, though they have been admitted in the college but they are yet to be registered with the University for the said course. The petitioners are praying that they may be registered and formally be admitted in the said college to pursue the said course.

Learned advocate for the College submits that there are 14 more students like the petitioners, they are 1. Ruma Dutta, 2. Md. Sujauddin, 3. Md. Aftad Hossain, 4. Ashim Akram, 5. Ayesha Siddika, 6. Sakil Ahammed, 7. Rafiqul Saikh,

8. Nasrin Parvin, 9. Tanuja Parveen, 10. Afroza Parveen, 11. Ahmadul Hasan, 12. Shefali Singh, 13. Anshu Kumari and 14. Md. Shaquib Alam, he prays that their names may also be registered with the university for the B.Ed. course. This Court had considered a similar type of prayer in W.P.A. 9983 of 2025 and had allowed the prayer for such

registration subject to payment of costs of Rs. 50,000/- for each student by the College to the University. The said order was assailed in appeal being MAT 1115 of 2025.

The Hon'ble Division Bench, by the order dated July 30, 2025 has reduced the amount of the said costs to Rs. 20,000/- for each student.

In view of aforementioned mandate of the Hon'ble Division Bench, the petitioners along with the said 14 students of the said College be registered with the University subject to payment of costs of Rs. 20,000/- for each by the said College thereby enabling them to pursue the B.Ed. course for the academic session 2024-2026.

The said registration be done as expeditiously as possible.

This order has been passed in the facts and circumstances of the present case, particularly, to protect the interest of the students, as such cannot be treated as a precedent.

W.P.A. 11573 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms.
