Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner is the owner of an agricultural tractor. The petitioner hired such tractor to the private respondents. The period of such hire expired on July 21, 2021. The private respondents neither returned the tractor nor paid the hire charges. Complaint to the police did not evoke any response.

Learned advocate for the State submits that the police registered the complaint of theft on the basis of written communication of the respondent no. 4 as Bishnupur PS case no. 410 of 2021 dated July 8, 2021 under section 341/379/34 IPC. The tractor was recovered and police seized the same. In such circumstances, the police acting on the basis of the complaint of the private respondents and recovering the tractor, further interference by the writ court is not called for. There are

civil disputes between the private respondents with regard to hire of a tractor. The private parties are at liberty to settle their disputes before the appropriate Forum in accordance with law. WPA 12501 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as costs.
