The petitioner renews the prayer for bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, despite an order directing the trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible, the trial is yet to be concluded.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, out of 25 prosecution witnesses, 11 witnesses were examined and the next date fixed is November 25, 2021. .

Considering the fact that pandemic affected the functioning of the Court and considering the fact that there is

hardly any change in the circumstances subsequent to the order dated January 14, 2020, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner. We however, request the trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM 5208 of 2021 is dismissed. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Bibhas Ranjan De, J.)
