The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. and others Mr. A. Mukherjee .... for the petitioner Mr. Sourav Chaudhuri .... for the WBSEDCL Learned counsel for the respondent-authorities contends that there may be certain factual errors in the averments made in the writ petition.

However, since affidavits have not been invited, it is deemed that the respondents deny all the allegations made in the writ petition.

The limited question involved is the alleged inaction of the WBSEDCL in not giving new connection to the petitioner despite the latter having applied long back. It appears that the petitioner has apparently complied with the requirements for obtaining such new connection. However, in the

absence of the documents in that regard, the only relief which can be given to the petitioner is as follows: The respondents are directed to give new connection to the petitioner as per the petitioner's application, subject to compliance of all formalities and requirements, in accordance with law, within December 10, 2021.

The parties shall act on the server copy of this order and the communication of the learned Advocates without insisting upon prior production of a certified copy thereof.

WPA No.12458 of is disposed of accordingly, in terms of the above direction. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
