The petitioner was granted bail by an order dated May 9, 2024, passed in CRM (NDPS) 784 of 2024, inter alia, on the condition that he shall meet the Officer in charge, STF Police Station, Kolkata, once in a week, until further orders. He seeks relaxation of that condition.

Learned State Advocate files a report. Let the same be kept with the records. He opposes the prayer for relaxation of condition of bail. He says that the petitioner is a resident of Manipur. If he is not required to report regularly to the STF Police Station, he will disappear and may also commit further criminal acts. Signed By :

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and that bail was granted fairly recently in May, 2024, we are not inclined to waive the condition requiring the petitioner to report to the Officer in charge, STF Police Station, Kolkata, once in a week. We, however, relax that condition permitting the petitioner to report to the Officer in charge, STF Police Station, Kolkata, once in a fortnight, until further orders.

The other conditions of bail shall remain unaltered. 5.

CRAN 1 of 2024 is disposed of.
