Petitioner has prayed for posting from Barasat Police District to Jangipur Police District/ Murshidabad Police District. The said application should have been preferred before the State Administrative Tribunal.

Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, learned Additional Government Pleader appears on behalf of the State. Having considered the nature of the prayers which has been advanced by invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India, I am of the firm opinion that the application is frivolous and the same should not only be dismissed but a cost of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) be imposed upon the petitioner.

The cost of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) be deposited with the State Legal Aid Services Authority.

This order be tagged with the service records of the present petitioner through the office of the Director General of Police, West Bengal.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 11840 of 2025 is dismissed.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
