Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner, report submitted by the State and copy of the order passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer are taken on record.

The petitioner prayed for a direction upon the respondent authorities not to act upon or give effect to the purported resignation dated 18th May, 2026 obtained from him by force, coercion and intimidation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner approached the Sub-Divisional Officer, Egra assailing acceptance of the resignation and by an order passed on 25th May, 2026 the Sub-Divisional Officer held that the resignation tendered by the petitioner before the prescribed authority on 18th May, 2026 was not willful and could not be accepted.

In view of the above, the writ petition has become infructuous and is accordingly dismissed.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
