The petitioner was qualified in TET 2014 and had participated in the selection test conducted by the Board in 2016 and also in 2020 for appointment of Assistant Teachers in primary schools but was unsuccessful in both the selection tests.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that after the publication of break up of marks of the candidates of those selection tests, he came to learn that less meritorious candidates have been accommodated in the panel and were given appointment. The petitioner is praying that he should be given appointment treating him as an eligible candidate in the said selection tests. Mr. Sanyal, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education submits that panel in both the selection tests has lost its life long back, besides petitioner does not possess the requisite training qualification.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and on going through the materials on record, it appears that the panel prepared on the basis of the selection test since has lost its life. There is no scope for considering the prayer of the petitioner.

WPA 12737 of 2024 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
